Route
The Town Shuttle carries you between Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte. It loops through Crested Butte with stops at Old Town Hall, 6th and Belleview, the 4-Way Stop and Teocalli.

Kate’s Place has quite a story. The home was shipped to Crested Butte from Chicago in 1922 as a “kit house,” built by a miner as a promise to his mail-order bride. Not long after construction was complete, Kate herself made the journey west from Chicago to meet her soon-to-be husband and begin life in the mountains.
The home was purchased by the current owner in the early 1970s and they have lovingly restored it over the years, with thoughtful updates along the way to preserve its character while keeping it comfortable for modern living. This isn’t just a vacation rental for them, it’s a home they use themselves and care for deeply, which we hope you feel during your stay.
Kate’s Place has been recognized by the Town of Crested Butte’s Zoning and Architectural Review Board as a Best Historic Renovation, and it continues to be rated among the top vacation homes on VRBO. Many guests return year after year, and we’re honored to share this special piece of Crested Butte history with you.
