Pass Holder Reservation System

What to expect for the Reservation System 2021 Season

Exclusive Early Season Access – Pass holders get the mountains to themselves with exclusive early season access through Dec. 7. We will not sell lift tickets until Dec. 8; buying an Epic Day Pass is a great alternative. Early season reservations can be booked up to a week in advance.

Access All Season with Week-Of Reservations – Pass holders can make as many week-of reservations throughout the season as their pass type and availability allow. Families will be able to book reservations together if they are in the same pass holder account.

Priority Reservation Days for the Core Season – In addition to week-of reservations, pass holders will receive an early opportunity to reserve up to seven Priority Reservation Days for the core season (Dec. 8-April 4) before lift tickets go on sale. If you cannot get the Priority Reservation Days you want by Dec. 7, and have not used your pass, you can get a refund with Epic Coverage. As you use your Priority Reservation Days, you can book new ones, holding up to seven at any time, or as many as your pass type allows.

Reserve with Ease – Pass holders will be able to view real-time availability and make reservations all in one place, on Reservations will activate their pass for the selected days; no need to bring anything but your pass to get access to the mountain. The reservation window opens on Nov. 6 is exclusive to pass holders through Dec. 7. Reservations for the Keystone early season (beginning with the Nov. 6 Opening Day) will be available to pass holders starting Nov. 4.

This year, our commitment to safety takes on more importance than ever amid the COVID-19 pandemic. We are fortunate that our core experience of skiing and riding takes place outdoors, across huge mountains, offering fresh air and wide-open spaces for our guests. However, to help protect our guests, our employees and our communities, some changes are necessary. To allow for physical distancing, we will be managing access to our mountains through a reservation system and limiting lift ticket sales in order to prioritize our pass holders.

At this point, yes. We know this reservation system is a change to our normal approach but we are prioritizing our pass holders to ensure they get the best access. We want all of our guests to have peace of mind knowing that we’re doing all we can to give them a safe and enjoyable experience. As the season progresses, and events with COVID unfold, changes to our approach are always possible and we may remove the reservation system for certain times and certain resorts.

Capacity restrictions will be based on the resort, available terrain, historic visitation levels and modelling of what visitation will look like this season, as well as how we see the resorts operate with new COVID-19 restrictions. For the vast majority of days during the season, we should be able to accommodate everyone who wants to be on our mountains. However, we also need to acknowledge that there are still many unknowns about the upcoming season. Regardless of how many people are skiing and riding this season, we will follow our historical practice of opening as many lifts and as much terrain as soon as possible to allow for the amazing mountain experience our guests have come to expect.

We try to prioritize our pass holders with every decision we make – they are our most loyal guests and are key to the long-term success of our company and our sport. For those only interested in accessing the mountain for a few days this season – and who have historically purchased lift tickets – an Epic Day Pass or the new Whistler Blackcomb Day Pass are great options. Both come with additional peace of mind from Epic Coverage and value provided by Epic Mountain Rewards.

We have relaxed our lodging booking and cancellation policy so our guests can enjoy flexibility all winter long. We encourage lodging guests to reach out to the specific property regarding any changes to their reservation.

Pass holders can make as many Week-Of Reservations during the core season as their pass type and availability allow. Pass holders will still be able to plan ahead for a big trip or a long weekend by reserving up to seven Priority Reservation Days for the core season (Dec. 8 – closing day) before lift tickets go on sale on Dec. 8. These Priority Reservation Days are in addition to any Week-Of Reservations. As Priority Reservation Days are rolling reservations, pass holders can book a new one as soon as they use one, holding up to seven at any time, or as many as their pass type allows.

Pass holders may reserve the same days for everyone listed in Family/Household within ‘My Account’ on, as long as there are reservations available for all family members and availability on a given day.

Buddy tickets and Ski-With-A-Friend tickets will be available for purchase beginning on Dec. 8. Pass holders will be able to utilize their Buddy and SWAF tickets on any day when there is available capacity for lift ticket purchases. Buddy/SWAF tickets will need to be purchased in advance of coming to our ticket window. For the 2020/21 season, the pass holder must be the one to purchase a Buddy or SWAF ticket online (pass holders may not forward their benefit tickets to others to redeem).

Based on availability and specific pass access, same-day reservations will be available online.

Any pass holder with lift access, that books a lesson with our Ski and Ride School, will automatically be reserved for mountain access that same day.

If a pass holder no longer plans to use their reservation, they should cancel by 12 a.m. of their planned ski date. We reserve the right to restrict the ability of the pass holder to make future reservations if the reservation system is being abused or manipulated in any way.

As it currently stands, Epic Pass holders do not have to make reservations at any partner resorts. Given the uncertainty of the situation, this is subject to change as we move closer to the upcoming winter season. Please check back regularly on to learn about any updates regarding our Partner Resorts.
